my intention was to combine the aesthetics and design principles

of the early twentieth century with the finest modern picture framing materials and techniques.

i initially studied under conservator donald bowen, c.p.f., but i've since gone on to supplement my craft with various workshops, seminars and independent study.

over the past fifteen years, i've had the good fortune to attract some of the region's finest clients and artists.

cypher evolved organically out of zephyr's operations...

i found that the more i could do on my own, the less i had to settle for the sub-standard efforts of others.

then, based upon the work that i did for myself, my framing clients began to request graphic design as well.

finally, after years of being pestered by said clients, i caved in and began building websites as well.

and so here we are.
